God always sends the rain
As I sit looking out my office window and watch the rain fall my mind goes to the times He has been there for us.
As I watch the water fall from the sky I’m reminded of the words of Isaiah 44:3-4
“For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.”
God always sends the rain to nourish the earth and to provide us with the blessing of life. Rain is a sign from God that he is with us and that he cares for us.
The rain brings us life giving water, which is essential for the growth of plants and animals. Rain helps to cool the earth and replenish our rivers, lakes, and oceans. Rain provides us with the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of nature and to be thankful for all the blessings of life.
We should always remember that God is always with us and that he is the one who sends us the rain. He is the one who is responsible for the life-giving water that nourishes the earth and allows us to live a life of abundance.
We should be thankful for all the blessings that God sends our way and always remember that He is the one who is responsible for the rain.
I think of the ones who have left either by death or just walked away, it saddens me that we must lose the ones we care about, the ones we love. This year we are losing two children that I have literally grow up in front of my eyes, they have become a big part of my life, but soon they will go to start school, and other children will come take their spots here.
I watched my father-in-law as he slowly drifted away, from me into the place of peace, the man who has been a big impact of my life, someone I could go to when I needed help with a problem, or the answer to a question I had no answer too. He went away and left me his daughter who I cherish and love.
My friend next door left too his body just couldn’t take anymore, He left me with a memory of even through the pain of his life, he still looked to the Father for strength, I always thought to myself, He loves everyone equally and without reserve.
So as I sit and watch the rain and think God’s promise in Isaiah was for us too, the descendants. He wants to rain down his blessings on us. His desire is for us to be refreshed and fruitful- as lush as meadow grass growing “by flowing streams.”
How much more does he desire for us?
